WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

Navigational audits are carried out to verify safety of navigation, ensure effective and consistent application of navigational practices and bridge procedures in accordance with regulatory and industry requirements. This course will provide an in-depth understanding of vetting inspections under the OCIMF SIRE programme for oil tankers, complementing it with navigational audits that will further improve on overall vessel condition. Participants will be taken through the details and aspects of navigational audits and safety and what ship inspectors will be looking for in their inspections. To begin with, a comprehensive background of SIRE and OCIMF will be introduced and covered.
