SUMMARY

There are many types of marine surveyors. In definition, the term “Marine Surveyor” covers a wide range of work carried out involving surveys, inspections, and investigations aboard all types of ship, e.g., merchant vessels, pleasure craft, offshore structures. Surveys may also include the commodities being carried by those vessels, i.e., their cargoes, of which they are many. No single marine surveyor has knowledge of all types of surveys.
